youthrive connects young leaders with Nobel Peace Prize laureates to motivate them to become agents of peace in their communities. Through the use of our free eBooks, teachers and youth workers en-gage young people interested in leadership and peace-building. Unique to youthrive is how we work with young people at every level of our organization. Our Scholars are young adults who work with sites across the greater Twin Cities, acting as liasons to adult facilitators who work directly with young leaders. Through those activities, youthrive challenges young leaders to:
  • SHOW UP and pay attention to what matters to them
  • Know themselves and their power to SPEAK TRUTH courageously
  • CHANGE THEMSELVES as an example
  • LEAD! and use their passion and power for a purpose
Who attends?
Anyone who is interested in more peaceful education is encouraged to attend, and don't be afraid to bring a friend or colleague with you! For schools, it generally works best for two educators from each site to attend together. This ensures that you have someone in your teaching environment to continue the learning in between and beyond the workshops.
