The 17th Annual Nobel Peace Prize Festival will be presented by Augsburg College and World Citizen on Friday, March 2, 2012 from 11:00am–1:30pm at Augsburg College (Kennedy Center, 715 - 23rd Ave. S, Minneapolis, MN).

This year's festival will honor Liu Xiaobo. The Nobel Peace Prize 2010 was awarded to Liu Xiaobo "for his long and non-violent struggle for fundamental human rights in China".

Your School or youth group is invited to participate in the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize Festival. There is no cost for groups to participate! Your group will decide which Nobel Peace Prize Laureate to choose and then study their life and accomplishments towards peace in the world.

Then your group will work together to prepare art, an exhibit or presentation in the form of music, dance, drama or reading to bring to the Festival to share with the honored Laureate, and with other groups and visitors. Assistance is provided in preparing your group!

The event is free and open to the public.  No tickets are needed.
